NEET Exam: ‘Munnabhai’ caught in Rajasthan, police arrest 6 including 3 MBBS students

The Rajasthan Police on Sunday detained six people, including three MBBS students, in connection with the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) examination in Bharatpur district. Mathura Gate Police said that preliminary investigation revealed that Ravi Meena, the main conspirator in the case, allegedly took Rs 10 lakh from candidate Rahul Gurjar. Additional Superintendent of Police Aklesh Kumar said, ‘Abhishek was seen taking the exam in place of Rahul Gurjar in an exam centre. The supervisor got suspicious and handed him over to the police. During preliminary interrogation, he stated that five other people were also involved in this work along with him.

He said the remaining five people were sitting in a car outside the examination centre. All the accused are being interrogated. According to the police, Abhishek, Ravi, Amit, Dayaram, Suraj Singh and Rahul Gurjar were detained in this case. Meanwhile, in Sawai Madhopur, candidates appearing for the NEET examination at one center complained that they were given English medium paper instead of Hindi medium and vice versa, English medium candidates were given Hindi paper.

The candidates and their parents complained that the police beat them up when they protested. Later, the National Testing Agency (NTA) issued a public notice that the incident of wrong distribution of question papers by the center superintendent had come to light. The agency said the examination of 120 affected candidates has been scheduled today so that their educational aspirations are not disrupted by the incident.
