NTA sent incomplete reply to EOU after three notices
The alleged paper leak case of the National Eligibility Test (NEET) is being investigated by the EOU (Economic Offenses Unit) in Bihar. The EOU sought several facts related to the matter from the NEET organizing agency National Testing Council (NTA). After issuing three notices from the investigating agency level seeking information, the NTA sent its reply through e-mail on Wednesday night. However this too is half-baked. It contains only names of some candidates, roll number and some other relevant information. Still the investigating agency has not got answers to several basic questions, which could lead to the root cause of the question paper leak, providing a crucial direction to the investigation.

The probe into the whole matter so far has revealed that after the NEET question paper was leaked from a state outside Bihar, the setters here distributed it to the selected people. Meanwhile, this question paper was leaked and went viral on WhatsApp. EOU is awaiting response from NTA. The EOU suspects that setters from UP, Delhi and other states are also involved in the question paper leaking gang. The mastermind Dr Shiv and 12 other people involved in the teacher reinstatement paper leak were revealed. The involvement of half a dozen people, including Dr. Shiv, is also coming to light in the NEET paper leak.

The EOU sought answers to these questions from the NTA
EOU (Economic Offenses Unit) asked NTA in which press the question paper was printed? Was it printed on one or more presses? Which company or agency was given the responsibility of getting it off the press to different states? How many officials at which level of NTA were aware of this entire process? Who was specifically entrusted with the responsibility of bringing the question papers and delivering them to the examination centers located at various places in Bihar?

OU suspects that leaked NEET papers from other states have reached Bihar centres
Patna. In the investigation so far, the EOU (Economic Offenses Unit) probing the NEET rigging has found indications that the paper leak did not take place in Bihar. After being leaked somewhere near Haryana and Rajasthan, it reached Bihar users via WhatsApp. After that, selected people were sent from here. EOU seeks NTA’s help in this so that the exact place where the question paper was leaked can be revealed.
