National Board of Examination (NBE) may conduct NEET PG exam in August. There is no update on NEET PG exam date yet but NBE Chairman Abhijat Seth told The Indian Express that the new date of NEET PG exam may be announced before next week.

Seth said that the plan has been shared with the Ministry of Education (MOE) for approval and accordingly the exam date will be communicated to the students soon. “We hope to complete the process in two months,” he said. Let us inform you that NBE has postponed the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test, Post Graduate (NEET PG) on June 22, a few hours before the examination.

“There is no report of paper leak or any other problem,” the NBE chairman said. He further said, “According to the NBE the examination was canceled as the ministry wants to check the robustness of the examination process and we want to ensure that there are no weaknesses in the process.”

Seth said, “Leaks are possible in NEET PG because the exam is a Computer Based Test (CBT), which means that the exam paper is not published anywhere so a paper leak is not possible.”

He further added, “However, there are some mischievous elements in our society who take advantage of students’ vulnerability in such stressful situations and tell students that they can help them pass the exam by giving them a certain amount of money. In such cases they take half the payment before the exam and then if the student passes, they claim it is due to them. If the student doesn’t pass the exam, they run away with half the amount.”

NEET 2024 Controversy-

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been facing a lot of criticism due to the UG results declared on Lok Sabha election result day (June 4). The NEET PG result was declared 10 days before its scheduled time. The first unusual occurrence after the declaration of results was that a large number of candidates (67) scored 720/720. Then some candidates scored 718 or 719 marks, while some candidates claimed that this is not possible in the NEET PG exam scheme.
