A seven-member panel set up by the government to review reforms in the National Testing Agency (NTA) will first seek suggestions from students and parents. Panel chairman K Radhakrishnan said the panel will ask students and parents about their problems and seek suggestions, so that the country can create an entrance examination system that is robust and has no scope for manipulation.

Radhakrishnan, who has served as Chairman of the Board of Governors (BOG) of Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)-Kanpur, chairs the panel. A seven-member panel headed by him will make recommendations on reforms. In addition, it will provide recommendations for changes in the methodology of the entire examination process, data protection protocols and the structure and functioning of the NTA. It has to submit its report to the ministry within two months.

The first meeting of the panel was held at IIT Pampas on Monday.
