Alleged cheating in NEET is causing depression among teenagers. Students who have been preparing for NEET for two-three years are losing interest in studies. Many children have stopped studying. In the counseling cell of CBSE, in most of the cases, there is a huge loss in the confidence of the teenagers. The condition of some students is so severe that they have to be referred for clinical counseling after continuous counseling by SAIL experts. The counseling cell is getting constant calls from Rajasthan, Delhi, UP, Bihar, MP, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand etc. Many kids say they don’t want to prepare anymore. An average of 100 calls per day regarding NEET. Students ask what to do now for career?

A student from Samastipur in Bihar is also depressed along with her mother. The student was preparing while staying in Kota. The father told the counselor that he had packed the books. It says you should get admission in some other course. Nothing can happen to me in NEET. Dr. Kumar said his depression was so severe that he had to be referred for clinical counselling. The situation is that even those who score 600 marks in NEET are becoming victims of depression.

Eager to get the last chance to appear for the exam
Three students have approached the mental ward of Colvin Hospital in Prayagraj. Counselor appointed by CBSE for Bihar-Jharkhand Dr. Pramod Kumar says that about 30 percent of the students who call have left the coaching institute and returned home. Vinayak Kumar, a candidate from Ranchi, said that now the hopes have been dashed.
