Nepal team arrives in Pakistan to participate in Asia Cup, will train in Karachi before tournament begins

Four teams have announced their squads for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023 to be held in Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka and Afghanistan teams are yet to be announced. All the teams are almost ready for the Asia Cup starting from 30th August. The first match of the tournament will be played between Pakistan and Nepal on August 30. At the same time, Nepal’s men’s cricket team has arrived in Karachi to participate in the Asia Cup, where the team will play practice matches and then leave for Multan.

On August 28, the Nepal team will reach Multan, where their first match will be against Pakistan. The tournament will also start with this match. Pakistan Cricket has shared a video on X (Twitter). Pakistan Cricket wrote, “Welcome to the Nepal Cricket Team in Karachi ahead of the upcoming Asia Cup 2023. He will practice for two days in Karachi and play a practice match on the third day, then leave for Multan on August 27.

The Nepalese team will prepare in Pakistan for about a week. Where the team will train and play matches against teams selected by the PCB. Nepal team will be led by Rohit Paudel. Nepal team will play Asia Cup for the first time. The team has managed to qualify for the first time. According to the hybrid model, four matches will be played in Pakistan and remaining nine matches will be played in Sri Lanka, out of which all India’s matches will be played in Sri Lanka.

India are in Group A along with Pakistan and Nepal while Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan are in Group B. The Super Four matches will be played from September 6.
