Netherlands have also announced their squad for ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. The Netherlands Cricket Board has included two veteran players who have not played cricket for a long time in their 15-man squad. Roelof van der Merw and Colin Ackerman have been included in the Netherlands squad for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup starting next month in India.

The pair were not part of the squad that qualified for the World Cup earlier this year by finishing runners-up in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier tournament, but have been included in the 15-man list for the main event. Both van der Merwe and Ackerman bring a wealth of experience to the Netherlands team, which is captained by Scott Edwards.

Netherlands’ World Cup squad is as follows

Scott Edwards (capt), Max O’Dowd, Bess Dilley, Vikram Singh, Teja Nidamanuru, Paul van Meekren, Colin Ackerman, Rolof van der Merwe, Logan van Beek, Aryan Dutt, Ryan Kline, Wesley Baresi, Saqib Zulfiqar, Shariz Ahmed and Sibrand Engelbrecht.

The Netherlands team’s first match in the World Cup 2023 is against Pakistan on October 6, which will be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. The Netherlands team is also going to play 9 matches like every other team. The India-Netherlands match will be played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on November 12. This will be the last league match of the tournament.
