NTA Exam Calendar 2024: After canceling the UGC NET exam due to a paper leak, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced a new date for the exam. The UGC NET exam will now be conducted from 21st August to 4th September 2024. UGC NET exam will now be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode instead of Pen Paper (Offline) mode. As per the new exam calendar of NTA, the combined CSIR UGC exam will now be conducted from July 25 to July 27, 2024 in CBT mode. The NCET exam will be conducted on July 10 in CBT mode.
NTA will conduct UGC NET exam in 83 subjects. Let us tell you that the UGC NET exam held on June 18 was canceled after the paper was leaked. The investigation of the case was handed over to the CBI. More than 11.21 lakh candidates have registered for the exam. The Ministry of Education decided to cancel the UGC NET exam amid controversy over alleged malpractices in the medical entrance exam NEET.
The UGC NET exam is conducted twice a year for Junior Professor Fellowship and Assistant Professor in Universities and other Higher Education Institutions across the country. From this time UGC NET score will also be accepted as admission to Ph.D.
