No talks with Israel after Rafah attack: Hamas

At least 45 Palestinians, including children and women, were killed in Israeli airstrikes.

Gaza:

Following Israel’s attack on the southern Gaza city of Rafah, Hamas has told mediators it will not negotiate a ceasefire or prisoner exchange deal. Xinhua News Agency quoted a Hamas source as saying the decision was made in response to Israeli forces targeting displaced civilians northwest of Rafah, killing and wounding dozens.

The source also said that Hamas had not received any official information from Egyptian or Qatari mediators about resuming talks. At least 45 Palestinians, including children and women, were killed in Israeli airstrikes on displaced people’s tents near the city of Rafah, Gaza health officials said in a press statement on Monday.

Senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan told a press conference in Beirut on Monday that we will not release the Israeli hostages and if we do, it will be on our own terms. Hamdan said there would be no change in Hamas’ terms for reaching an agreement, including a permanent ceasefire.
