Dubai. The Indian squad for the ICC T20 World Cup has been announced. Many experts are giving their views on this. Former India head coach Ravi Shastri said that Shivam Dubey’s ability to hit big sixes will help India score big in the upcoming T20 World Cup. India’s hopes will rest on Dubey along with Yashaswi Jaiswal.
Jaiswal and Dubey will debut in the T20 World Cup to be held in America and West Indies from June 1. Shastri told the ICC, “Both are left-handed batsmen and are playing their first World Cup. One is Yashaswi Jaiswal who was brilliant against England. He is young and plays without fear.
Playing for Chennai Super Kings, Dubey has scored 350 runs in 11 matches at a strike rate of 170.73 this season. “You will see him in the middle order,” Shastri said. He is aggressive and a match winner. He hits sixes for fun and spin bowling very well. It is also effective against fast bowlers. His role will be important at number five and six. If anyone can change the map of a game in 20-25 overs, it is him. His strike rate is around 200 which will help India a lot.
