On this day, the films of two of the luminaries of Tamil cinema will go head-to-head in theatres. Both artists are known for their style. One superstar is 73 years old and the other is 48 years old. One made a splash last year as Jailer, while the other popularly known as Singham is making a comeback on the big screen after two and a half years. Let’s know who is this superstar, what is the name of the film and what is at stake at the box office.
Here we are talking about superstar Rajinikanth and Singham actor Suriya. Both the films are releasing in theaters on October 10. Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan is going to release on October 10 itself. This is Rajinikanth’s 170th film. Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Duggubatti and Manju B along with Rajinikanth in this film. Warriors will also be seen. The budget of the film is said to be around Rs 160 crore. Vettaiyan is an action film directed by T.J. Ganvel is directing. Vettayan will be shot in Trivandrum, Tirunelveli, Chennai, Mumbai and Hyderabad. The music of the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
Now talking about Surya, his film Kanguwa is releasing on October 10. This is Surya’s 39th film as the lead. Which is directed by Shiva. The budget of the film is said to be around Rs 300 crore and it will also release on the occasion of Dussehra. Bobby Deol, Disha Patni, Jagapathi Babu and Yogi Babu will also be seen in the film along with Surya. The music of Kanguwa is by Devi Sri Prasad. The film has been shot in Goa, Kerala, Kodaikanal and Rajahmundry.
Thus, a big battle will be seen at the box office on 10th October i.e. Dussehra day. 460 crore rupees are at stake at the box office. Surya was last seen in a cameo in the film Vikram, in which he was unmatched. But his last film as a hero was Jai Bheem in 2021. That film was also a superhit. While Rajinikanth’s charm does not seem to diminish with age. Both the films are action and both the stars have huge fan following. In such a situation, this interesting match at the box office will be watched.
