What is an ITEP course?
The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) launched the Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP) in 41 Teacher Education Institutes (TEIs) across the country from the academic session 2023-24. This course was launched in March 2023. This is the flagship program of NCTE under NEP 2020.

The ITEP, which was notified on 26 October 2021, is a 4-year dual-composite undergraduate degree with BABEd./ B.Sc B.Ed. / and B.Com B.Ed. courses offered. This course will prepare the teachers for the 4 stages of the new school education system introduced under the new education policy, ie basic, elementary, middle and secondary (5+3+3+4).

One year left
This integrated course will benefit the students by saving one year as they will complete the current B.Ed. This course will be completed in 4 years instead of 5 years required under the scheme. For this admission will be given through National Common Entrance Test (NCET) by National Testing Agency (NTA).
