Owner of Rajkot gaming zone also burnt alive in fire, now mother’s DNA test revealed

Prakash Hiran, one of the owners of GameZone, also died in the fire in Rajkot, Gujarat, where 27 people, including children, died in a massive fire. Hiran was seen on CCTV footage at the scene of the fire, confirming his presence at the scene during the incident;

Hiran’s brother Jitendra filed a missing complaint and claimed that his brother was inside the gaming zone when the fire broke out in the premises. The forensic department took his mother’s DNA samples and today confirmed that Prakash also died in the fire. Many bodies were burnt beyond recognition and police conducted DNA tests to identify the bodies.

Prakash, a partner in Raceway Enterprises, owned 60 percent of the gaming zone and was named as an accused by the Gujarat Police. In a First Information Report (FIR) by the police, six people were named as accused – Dhawal Enterprises owner Dhawal Thakkar, Raceway Enterprises partners Ashoksinh Jadeja, Kiritsinh Jadeja, Prakash Hiran, Yuvrajsinh Solanki and Rahul Rathore – for running the partnership.

The prime accused in the case was absconding after the collision and was arrested from Rajasthan. The police received information that he was hiding at his relative’s house in Rajasthan. Yuvraj Singh Solanki, Nitin Jain and Rahul Rathore have been sent to police custody for two weeks.

On May 25, 27 people, including children, died in a massive fire at GameZone. As the bodies were burnt beyond recognition, the state government sought the help of a forensic science laboratory to identify the victims through DNA profiling.
