The Pakistan Cricket Board i.e. PCB announced its squad for the upcoming World Cup 2023 to be held in India on Friday. During the team announcement, a local journalist questioned Chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq about the performance of the Pakistani spinners. Meanwhile, the reporter also compared Shadab Khan and Mohammad Nawaz with Indian Chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav. Inzamam gave this answer to the reporter’s question which is now going viral.

After the announcement of the Pakistan team, Inzamam-ul-Haq answered a journalist’s question in a press conference and said, ‘You have taken the correct figures, but I cannot pick Kuldeep Yadav.’
Explaining the decision to pick Shadab and Nawaz, Inzamam said that the team expected a good performance from both and added that Usama Mir is also in the squad as the third spinner.

Pakistan’s chief selector further said, ‘He (Kuldeep) plays for another team. I have tried to maintain consistency with Shadab and Nawaz. You are right that his performances have not been up to that level in recent times and we hope he does well, otherwise we have Usama Mir as an option.
