Pankaj Tripathi’s award-winning international film is about to release in India, know when it will hit the theatres.

New Delhi. Pankaj Tripathi and Ram Gopal Bajaj starrer international award winning film ‘Mango Dreams’ is all set to release in India. In this emotional film directed by American director John Upchurch, Pankaj Tripathi plays a Muslim auto rickshaw driver who forms a unique relationship with Ram Gopal Bajaj, who plays a Hindu doctor. The foundation of this relationship was laid during an amazing journey that broke the hearts of the audience. Together with a Muslim auto driver and a Hindu doctor, they embark on a journey across India in search of the doctor’s childhood home.

Excited about the film’s release on an independent Indian platform, director John Upchurch says, ‘The story explores the relationship between two brothers born in India and Pakistan who are separated. The tense India-Pakistan relationship serves to bring to the audience the conflicts that are going on in many parts of the world.

He adds, ‘The film is set in India, but the story depicts the internecine conflict between many neighboring countries. The original story was set in America, but the film could be set anywhere in the world where segregation exists.

Pankaj Tripathi won the Best Actor Award at the Cape Town International Film Market and Festival in 2017 for his brilliant performance in the film ‘Mango Dreams’. The film also received recognition at many international film festivals around the world. The film will premiere in India on May 16 at Open Theatres.
