Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins mentioned the reasons behind the defeat in the IPL 2024 final. Kolkata Knight Riders beat SRH badly and won the title. KKR won the third title. KKR controlled the team which remained unbeaten throughout the tournament. Pat Cummins admitted after the final that he had thrown us out of the match. Referring to the reasons for the defeat, Captain Cummins said that we scored less runs. He said that this is not a pitch on which 200 plus runs can be scored.
“He bowled brilliantly,” said Pat Cummins at the post-match presentation ceremony, “Unfortunately, old mate Starkey (Mitchell Starc) started bowling well again. He didn’t bowl well tonight. You get some boundaries, but actually We didn’t get anything like that in Ahmedabad where he bowled really well, so it was a bit of a tough wicket, if we had scored 160, well, in short, maybe a few extra runs would have given us a chance.”
Cummins added, “There were a lot of positives, the style people were playing, especially with the bat. Not just 250, but it takes a lot of skill to make it three times. It’s real, you loved me.” .that they pushed the game, it was a great season I haven’t worked with many people before.”
The SRH captain continued about the team, “It was a real pleasure to work with some older, experienced guys like Bhuvi (Bhuvneshwar Kumar). Bhuvi, Nattu, Jaydev were good and there was a lot of young talent. Really brilliant. The team, the support staff were amazing, We play a lot here in India, it’s good to get better and better once this season.”
