In the NEET-UG paper leak case, the Central Agency of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday arrested two accused Manish Prakash and Ashutosh from Patna in the NEET-UG paper leak case. Accused Ashutosh worked to find a safe house for the students. While Manish Prakash had booked a play and learn school in Patna for the night. Here 20 to 25 students were kept overnight and the answers were memorized. Recently, in an interview given to a channel, Ashutosh admitted about the paper leak.

The CBI took over the case from the Economic Offenses Unit (EOU) of the Bihar Police on June 26. She has been interrogating the accused and suspects for the past two days. So far, more than 27 accused have been arrested in five states. The CBI suspects that the accused arrested in different states in the paper leak case are only contractors, the real culprit is someone else. In such a situation, the arrest of Manish Prakash and Ashutosh is considered important. By interrogating them, the CBI can get information about the rest of the accused and the masterminds of the paper leak.

Who is Manish Prakash?
Manish Prakash has a good friendship with Anand Kumar, a land dealer by profession. He does some contract work. According to news agency ANI, Anand Kumar said that Manish Prakash had asked for space in the building of Learn Play School at Khemani Chak to house some candidates. He said he would keep some children here for the night as they had exams the next day. Anand Kumar agreed to this. He had given a room in the school. According to the CBI, from the night of May 4 to the morning of May 5, 20 to 25 students were reminded of the answers to the leaked question papers throughout the night.

Ashutosh brought more students before the exam started
Before the exam started, Manish Prakash’s friend Ashutosh reached the school room with some other students in his car. They were also given a print out of the paper and memorized the answers. Ashutosh himself admitted to the paper leak in an interview given to a news channel on Sunday. The CBI has also recovered burnt NEET question papers from Learn Play School located in Khemani Chak.

The CBI team also reached Hazaribagh in Jharkhand last Wednesday and interrogated many people. The interrogation continued on Thursday. A link to the paper leak has been found from Oasis School in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. It is suspected that the NEET paper was leaked from here. The mastermind of this scam, Sanjeev Mukhia, is still absconding. Police and CBI teams are busy to find the mastermind.

CBI investigation is going on in 6 states
The CBI is investigating the paper leak cases in Bihar, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and UP. The accused are also being talked to, so that the real mastermind can be known. The CBI suspects that the paper reached the students through contractors in the states. Hence it is necessary to arrest the mastermind soon.
