PM Modi to gift multi-crore development projects on ‘Mission Kashmir’

New Delhi:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Jammu and Kashmir on June 20 and 21. Meanwhile, he will inaugurate and lay foundation stones of several development schemes in the union territory and participate in several other events including the keynote function of the 10th International Day of Yoga.

  1. After becoming Prime Minister for the third consecutive time PM Modi This is his first visit to Jammu and Kashmir. The Prime Minister will participate in the ‘Youth Empowerment, Transformation of Jammu and Kashmir’ program at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Conference Center (SKICC) in Srinagar on June 20 at 6 pm.
  2. The Prime Minister will inspect the stalls and interact with the ‘Young Achievers’ of Jammu and Kashmir.
  3. During this period, the Prime Minister will lay foundation stones and inaugurate 84 major development projects worth over 1,500 crores.
  4. The Prime Minister will also launch the Rs 1,800 crore Competitiveness Improvement in Agriculture and Allied Sectors (JKCIP) project. This project will be implemented in 90 blocks of 20 districts of Jammu and Kashmir. The Prime Minister will also distribute appointment letters to over 2,000 persons appointed in government service.
  5. The Prime Minister will lead the International Yoga Day program organized at SKICC near Dal Lake at 6.30 am the next day to mark the International Day of Yoga.
  6. More than 7,000 people from different walks of life will participate in the program led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to celebrate the 10th International Day of Yoga.
  7. The security system has also been increased regarding the visit of Prime Minister Modi. Srinagar Police said on Twitter, ‘In accordance with the provisions of Rule 24(2) of the Drone Rules, 2021, the use of drones in Srinagar has been banned with immediate effect.’
  8. Let us tell you that on August 5, 2019, the Central Government abrogated Article 370 and 35A and granted the status of Union Territory to Jammu and Kashmir. which has its own assembly. Ladakh was also separated and given the status of a Union Territory without a legislature. Since then, the administration of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has been in the hands of the Lieutenant Governor.
  9. After repealing most of the provisions of Article 370, seats in the Legislative Assembly have been reserved for the Scheduled Tribes and the Paddari caste, hill ethnic group, Gadda Brahmin and Koli community have been included in the Scheduled Tribes.
  10. The Election Commission of India has officially started the process of assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. This is the second visit of PM to Jammu and Kashmir this year. (with language input)
