When is Soma Pradosh Vrat? Mon Pradosh Vrat Tithi

According to Panchang, Soma Pradosh Vrat will be observed on Trayodashi Tithi of Sawan Shukla Paksha. This year Trayodashi Tithi will start on August 28 at 6.22 pm and end on the next day i.e. August 29 at 2.47 pm. Due to this, Pradosh Vrat will be observed on August 28 only.

The auspicious time for the Puja of Soma Pradosh Vrat (Soma Pradosh Vrat Pooja) is from 6:48 to 9:20 PM on August 28. Worshiping on this special occasion can be very auspicious.

Pradosh Vrat Puja method

  • Clean clothes are worn after morning bath on the day of Soma Pradosh Vrat. On this day the devotee observes a fast and meditates on Lord Shiva.
  • In Pradosh Vrat, worship is done at night but devotees also visit the Shiva temple in the morning. Shiva’s worship includes belapatra, flower, panchamrut and sugar etc.
  • Mantras of Lord Shiva are chanted during the puja. After the Shiva Aarti is performed and the Bhog is offered, the Puja ends.
