Government jobs and employment have been the biggest electoral issue between the ruling and opposition since the formation and collapse of the grand coalition government in Bihar. Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, a senior JDU minister in the Nitish government has claimed that the Nitish government promised 20 lakh jobs and employment but in reality it is going to cross the target of 34 lakh jobs and employment. Mathematically, Nitish Kumar’s government is going to provide 155 percent more jobs and employment than promised before the assembly elections.
Nitish held a high-level meeting on employment on Monday in which it was decided to provide 5.17 lakh jobs and 11 lakh employment in a year under the Seven Decisions Part 2. Preparations are underway to issue job appointment letters to 1.99 lakh selected candidates in three months. Water Resources Minister Vijay Chaudhary said at a press conference held at the Janata Dal United (JDU) office in Patna on Tuesday that the Nitish government has fulfilled its promise to the youth.
Chaudhary said that the Nitish government promised 20 lakh jobs and employment but the Bihar government is going to cross the target of 34 lakh jobs and employment. Chaudhary said that the government had promised only 10 lakh jobs and 10 lakh employment opportunities but we have announced 12 lakh jobs and 22 lakh employment opportunities. He said that Nitish government provides jobs and employment every year. 5 lakh 17 thousand unemployed people will be given government jobs in the next one year.
JD(U) minister Vijay Chaudhary hit out at RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav without naming him and said he should not try to take credit for Nitish Kumar’s work. In response to a question, Chowdhury said that the decision to provide employment and employment was taken under the Seven Decisions Part 2 at the time of formation of the NDA government in 2020.
