According to CNN reports, the Admiral Gorshkov frigate will offer tours to the Cuban people for three days. This has raised concerns as to why a Russian warship would be open to the public for so many days off the coast of Cuba. Let us tell you that the Gorshkov is one of the most modern ships in the Russian fleet, capable of firing hypersonic missiles at speeds in excess of 6,000 miles per hour.

According to the report, a Cuban citizen said, ‘In the 12 years I’ve lived in Cuba, I’ve waited in all kinds of lines. Lines to buy food, lines to pay bills, lines just because people were standing in line for something that probably required standing in line. But now I was standing in line for something unexpected: to board a Russian warship docked in the harbor of Havana. ‘When a Russian diplomat told me that starting Thursday the Admiral Gorshkov frigate would be offering tours to the public for three days, I was a little skeptical.’
When the Russian warship Gorshkov arrived in Cuba on Wednesday, it received a loud 21-gun salute. Cubans saluted a Russian warship with cannon fire from an 18th-century fort built by the Spanish overlooking the harbor to protect the city from pirates. Gorshkov was accompanied by a rescue tug, a fuel ship, and the Kazan, a sleek nuclear-powered submarine.
