Rahul Gandhi targeted the Modi government over the NEET scam

New Delhi:

Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi has targeted the Modi government at the Center and invited it for a debate on the NEET-UG scam. Taking the side of the students, he said that the central government has to take responsibility for this and ensure that no student’s future is played with.

Rahul Gandhi said, “Bharat Gathbandhan wants to have a constructive discussion with the government on the paper leak issue. It is unfortunate that we are not allowed to do that in Parliament today. This is a matter of serious concern. We request the Prime Minister to discuss this issue and give the students the respect they deserve.

He said, “People have wasted thousands of crores of rupees in leaking papers, which has ruined the dreams of students. Students had prepared for the exam for many years. Lakhs of students had the dream of clearing NEET and entering the medical field, but their dream was shattered, which is reprehensible.”

The Congress leader said, “Yesterday I myself raised this issue in the meeting of opposition forces. I said that we all have to come together and send a message to the students that we are with them and are concerned about their future. Let’s think about them. Think about their interests. We care about them. They need not panic. We have decided that we will find a day when all should come together and discuss this extensively, so that a conclusion can be reached.

“We want this to be discussed peacefully, so that the interests of the students can be taken into consideration,” he said. I recently raised this issue in Parliament too, but you know I have not been given an opportunity to speak, but I am not going to bow down. I will continue to work for the interest of students, because the future of two crore students is at stake.

The future of children is in darkness
The Congress leader said, “The way the papers have been leaked in the last seven years, it is very clear that there is a big corruption going on here. The screws on this need to be tightened. Now we want to discuss this because the parents of these children are in pain because they don’t know what is happening to their children. Where is their future going? Today, the future of these children is in darkness, which saddens me to see.”

Targeting PM Modi, Rahul Gandhi said, “I am saddened to know why the Prime Minister has not discussed this issue so far. They should discuss this. He should express his opinion, but unfortunately he doesn’t, which shows that he doesn’t care about the children’s future.
