The 69th National Film Awards proved to be extremely beneficial for Telugu cinema. Films like RRR and Pushpa: The Rise won awards in various categories and brought pride to the entire Telugu film industry. RRR was awarded in 6 categories. It also includes the National Award for Best Film that Entertains All. As RRR won a lot of awards in various categories this year, SS Rajamouli took to his social media handle to express his excitement over his film winning 6 national awards.

Rajamouli tweeted congratulating all the National Award winners of RRR through his Twitter handle. Rajamouli congratulated his team and also mentioned the happiness he felt after winning 6 awards. He tweeted, “That’s a six…Congratulations to the entire RRR team on winning the national award. Thanks to the jury..:) Bhairi, Prem Master, Padanna, Srinivas Mohan Garu, Solomon Master.”

Alia Bhatt, her lead actress from RRR, also won big at this year’s National Awards. She won the Best Actress award for Gangubai Kathiawadi. He shared the award with Kriti Sanon who received the award for her performance in the film Mimi. Rajamouli congratulated Alia and also tweeted a dialogue from Gangubai Kathiawadi. He wrote, “Congratulations to our Sita @aliaa08 for winning the award for Gangu Chand Thi, Aur Chand Hi Rahgi… Gangubai Kathiawadi.”

This year Allu Arjun was nominated for the Best Actor award for his performance in Sukumar’s ‘Pushpa: The Rise’. Rajamouli also congratulated Allu Arjun on his big win and wrote, “Pushpath… thagade le. Sablai ho bunny…” It cannot be denied that Rajamouli has emerged as one of the faces of Indian cinema. And he has given a whole new inspiration. A generation of filmmakers to dream big.
