Just as Ayushmann Khurrana duped people by taking a photo of Pooja, a woman tricked a neighbor by talking in a boy’s voice and extorted a huge amount of money from him. This shocking incident is from Kashigaon. The police (Mumbai Police) have arrested the accused thug Rashmi. This incident also reminded me of the movie ‘Bunty Aur Babli’. Just like Bunty and Babli cheated people, Rashmi has done the same. She kept talking to her neighbor in a boy’s voice and kept tempting him to get a job and he had no doubts. It was only when he was cheated of Rs 6 lakh that he realized something was wrong with him. Thug Rashmi along with her husband kept robbing her widowed neighbour.
This case pertains to Apna Ghar Phase 3 Prithvi Prith Society in Kashigaon Police Station area. A woman named Annie Dhairamani lives in this building. After her husband’s death, Anne was looking for work. Her neighbor Rashmi and her husband Sejalkar knew this very well. He took full advantage of this. Rashmi along with her husband made a plan to cheat Annie. While talking one day, Rashmi promised Annie a job in a big company with an annual package of Rs 43 lakh and gave her the phone number of a man named Abhimanyu. When Annie calls Abhimanyu looking for work, he also assures him that he will soon get a job in a big multinational company. However, he had absolutely no idea who Abhimanyu was.

What happened next, Rashmi, disguised as Abhimanyu, very cleverly wooed Annie with sweet talk and marriage and started extorting money from her. Within a few months, Annie gave her savings of more than 6 lakh rupees to Abhimanyu. By the time Annie became suspicious, she had already been robbed. On investigation it was found that the person who was talking to him on the phone as Abhimanyu was none other than his sympathetic neighbor Rashmi. As Annie realized the fraud, she reported the entire matter to the Kashigaon police. Annie filed a case of cheating against Rashmi and her husband Sejal at the Kashigaon police station on July 26. On further investigation, the police arrested the thug Rashmi Sejlkar but her husband managed to escape.
