The actress was offered Mohra before Raveena
You will be surprised to know that Divya Bharti was chosen for this role before Ravina Tandon. The makers were considering Divya as a perfect fit for this role opposite Akshay. But everything changed after Divya Bharti’s death in an accident. After this, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was selected for this film. But at that time Aishwarya Rai was busy preparing for the Miss World pageant and said that she would consider any film offer only after the pageant. Thus, before Raveena, Aishwarya and Divya Bharti were the makers’ choices for the film.
Raveena Tandon fainted while shooting a song for the film
After Aishwarya Rai Na, the makers approached Raveena Tandon for the film. When Raveena heard the story of the film, she started thinking that there is no special role for the heroine in this film. As the film is about a fight between two action heroes, there is nothing special about the heroine. In such a situation Raveena was hesitant to say yes for this film. Well, on Rajeev Rai’s repeated insistence, Raveena agreed to the film and the film proved to be a boon for Raveena’s career. It is said that Raveena Tandon fainted while dancing during the song ‘Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast’ in the film as she was shooting for two films simultaneously. Due to Raveena, the shooting of the song was stopped for a long time.
