Wicketkeeper batsman Dinesh Karthik has given a retirement surprise on his birthday. He officially bid farewell to all formats of competitive cricket on Saturday. He made this announcement on his 39th birthday. Karthik said in an emotional post that he is ready for new challenges. He made his debut in international cricket in 2004. He played 182 matches for India (26 Tests, 96 ODIs and 60 T20Is) and scored 3463 runs. Karthik scored one century and 17 fifties. As a wicketkeeper, he dismissed 172 players.
