Former Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is now the world’s richest person in the latest ranking of the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Tesla CEO Elon Musk has slipped to second place and Bernard Arnault is out of the $200 billion club. Jeff Bezos’ net worth increased by $3.97 billion on Thursday and his net worth is now $220 billion. In comparison, Elon Musk’s wealth increased by only $751 million and his total wealth increased to $217 billion.
Bernard Arnault’s net worth fell by $2.49 billion to $199 billion on Thursday. The French billionaire, who is currently third in the list of the world’s richest people, was the richest person a few months ago. At number four is Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg. Zuckerberg, who earned $2.22 billion on Thursday, has a net worth of $185 billion.
Ambani ahead of Adani in ranking, but behind in earnings
In this ranking, Asia’s richest man Mukesh Ambani has reached a much higher position than his compatriot Gautam Adani. Shares of Reliance Industries have been rising for the past three days and are now ranked 11th, three places ahead of Adani with a net worth of $116 billion. Adani is at the 14th position with $105 billion. Not only this, Ambani is also two places above world’s highest earner Jenson Huang this year. Huang is in 13th place with $109 billion.
