India got off to a winning start by beating Afghanistan by 47 runs in the Group 1 match of the ICC T20 World Cup Super Eight. Chasing India’s target of 182 runs, Afghanistan scored 134 runs in 20 overs against the brilliant bowling of Bumrah (three wickets for seven runs), Arshdeep Singh (three wickets for 36 runs) and Kuldeep Yadav (two wickets for 32 runs). Limited to runs. Ravindra Jadeja (one wicket for 20 runs) and Akshar Patel (one wicket for 15 runs) took one wicket each.
