Rumors of train fire and passengers jumped, 5 dead in 3 days

On Monday night, two people lost their lives due to rumors of a fire in a train from Nanded Sahib to Amritsar. Indeed, due to smoke spreading in the coach of the Sachkhand Express train, the passengers panicked and stopped the train by pulling the chain. As the speed of the train slowed down, people started jumping from the moving train. Meanwhile, two people who were jumping from the train were hit by an oncoming train and died due to collision with the train. This is the second incident in 3 days of people jumping off a train on the rumor of a fire.

How did the fire rumor spread?

Bushes in fields beside the railway track between Rathdhana and Harsana Kalan stations caught fire as it was time to plant new crops. In such a situation, farmers are busy preparing their fields. Hence the farmers set fire to the garbage lying near the fields. The smoke from here reached the train passing by with the wind. Seeing this smoke reaching the train, the passengers thought that a coach had caught fire.

After seeing smoke in the train, there was chaos in the train and people started jumping from the train. A railway official said that two deaths were reported at Harsana Kalan station. He says that the train was stopped after the rumor of fire. In fact, some passengers jumped onto the railway line in the stampede, during which two were killed when they were hit by an oncoming train.

In Jharkhand too, passengers died after jumping from the train

Earlier, three people died after jumping from a train near Kumandih railway station of Barkakana-Barwadih railway section. It is being told that a fire rumor was also spread in the Intercity Express train from Ranchi to Sasaram. As soon as the rumor of fire spread, there was chaos in the train and here too people started jumping from the moving train. People lost their lives due to the collision of the freight train coming from the front.

Several people jumped off the train following rumors of a fire in the train, killing three and injuring several others. A woman social worker traveling in the same train said that she was traveling in the Ranchi Sasaram train. He said that the accident happened during which people started coming down as rumors spread.
