Varda recalled how Salman Khan was also supposed to get married on the same day, but at the last moment the superstar postponed the wedding.

Sajid told Nadiadwala’s wife Wardha Nadiadwala the day after the wedding, ‘We were supposed to get married on the same day, but he backed out. He (Salman) was saying, grandson, the car is behind, let’s run. It is very beautiful. He welcomed me on stage and congratulated me. Then I got a shock, ‘Oh, so this is what you guys were talking about.

I asked my mother and family to find a girl for me, as Salman and I planned to get married on the same day. His father Salim Sir’s birthday falls on 18th November, so we fixed that date as well.
