Kolkata Knight Riders co-owner and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan shared an emotional post on social media three days after the team became champions. The Kolkata Knight Riders team became the champions of IPL 2024 after defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday. Shah Rukh appreciated the contribution of the players, coaches and other members of the backroom staff. KKR co-owner Shah Rukh shared a lengthy post on X in which he mentioned each player. Shah Rukh wrote a special message for team mentor Gautam Gambhir, who was instrumental in ending KKR’s 10-year wait to win the trophy.
After Kolkata Knight Riders won the title at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Sunday, Shah Rukh celebrated with the players on the ground. After the win, he himself was meeting the players one by one. Sharing a photo of winning the title, Shahrukh wrote, “My star from Kolkata, I can’t do many things and you can’t do them all… But together we can do most things.” This is KKR’s objective. Just stay together.”
He further wrote, “Gautam Gambhir said that if you cannot support a vision as a team… then you are moving towards division in the team. Every player, young and old, understood this. A trophy is not a proof of the best players in the team but it proves that every player present in the team is the best. Also, I am very happy and grateful to every KKR fan and I hope the youngsters around the world learn that tough times don’t last forever… corbo…lorbo…wins…always.’
