Share Market Live Updates June 25: Share market may get off to a slow start today

8:45 AM Share Market Live Updates June 25: Benchmark domestic stock market indices Sensex and Nifty 50 are expected to open flat on Tuesday amid mixed signals from global stock markets. That’s because Asian markets rallied, while the US stock market fell amid a selloff in tech stocks.

Below are the key indicators for Sensex today

Asian Market: Asian markets were mostly higher despite a sell-off in US tech stocks. Japan’s Nikkei 225 rose 0.19 percent and Topix rose 0.7 percent. South Korea’s Kospi rose 0.38 percent and Kosdaq rose 0.35 percent. Hong Kong Hang Seng index futures showed bullish signs.

Gift NIFT: Today the GIFT Nifty was trading at 23,570, a premium of around 15 points over the previous close of Nifty futures. This signals a dull start for the Indian stock market indices.

Wall Street: As for the US market, the Dow Jones hit a one-month high, while the Nasdaq fell more than 1 percent. The Dow Jones gained 257.99 points, or 0.66 percent, to 39,408.32 while the S&P 500 lost 15.73 points, or 0.29 percent, to 5,448.89. The Nasdaq Composite was down 190.19 points, or 1.09 percent, at 17,499.17.
