New Delhi. The Indian men’s team is showing its strength in the ICC T20 World Cup while the women’s team is in the ODI series against South Africa. Indian superstar opener Smriti Mandhana scored an explosive century in the very first match of the 3-match series. The innings came at a time when the batting went down badly. Lady Tendulkar single-handedly defeated the bowlers of the entire African team. With the help of this inning, India made a big score of 265 runs for 8 wickets.
The first match of the three-match ODI series between India and South Africa women’s team began on Sunday, June 16. Team India captain Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and decided to bat first. India got off to a poor start and half the team returned before 100 runs. Shefali Verma, Hemalta, captain Harmanpreet Kaur, Jemimah Rodriguez and Richa Ghosh lost their wickets cheaply.
