New Delhi. The first finalist team of the ICC T20 World Cup has been decided. South Africa washed away all previous blemishes and recorded a resounding win against Afghanistan to book their place in the final of an ICC event for the first time. Aiden Markram has become the first captain in South African cricket history to lead the team to the finals.
After winning the toss and electing to bat first, the Proteas bowlers bowled out the Afghan team for just 56 runs in 11.5 overs. South Africa created history by achieving this small target with the loss of 1 wicket in 8.5 overs. The second semi-final between India and England will decide which team will face them in the final.
