Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the CHSL Exam 2024 Tier-I Exam Date. According to the official notification, the Tier-1 exam will be conducted through computer mode in three shifts across the country. SSC CHSL Exam 2024 will start from 1st July.

SSC CHSL Exam is conducted for recruitment to the posts of Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Postal Assistant (PA), Sorting Assistant (SA), Data Entry Operator (DEO) in various central departments.

SSC CHSL Exam Pattern and Syllabus-
SSC CHSL Exam Tier-1 will have four sections.
1. Common sense
2. Quantitative aptitude
3. General awareness
4. English

A total of 100 questions will be asked from the candidates in the exam. The total marks for these questions will be 200. There will also be negative marking in the exam. 0.5 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer given by the candidate.

SSC CHSL Tier 2 Descriptive Exam
Medium – pen and paper
Time – 60 minutes
Total Marks- 100
Format – Essay (200-250 words) and Letter/Application Writing (150-250 words)
Language- English and Hindi

SSC CHSL Tier-3 Skill Test/Typing Test
Skill Test- Data Entry Operator (DEO) Posts
Data Entry Speed- 8000 Depression per hour
Time – 15 minutes
Typing Test- Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant (SA)/Lower Division Clerk and Court Clerk
Typing speed-
English – 35 words per minute
Hindi – 30 words per minute
Time – 10 minutes

SSC CHSL Exam Important Dates-
Application Date – 8 April 2024 to 7 May 2024
Admit Card- 27 June 2024 (Expected)
Date of Tier-1 Exam – 1st July 2024 to 11th July 2024 (in three shifts)

Important Information for Exam-

Candidates must download their admit card from the official website ssc.nic.in before the exam day. Candidate’s name, roll number, exam center name, exam time etc. will be written in the admit card. Candidates should reach the examination centers 30 minutes early so that they can easily pass through the security points and register themselves.
