SSC MTS: Application open for SSC MTS & Havildar 8326 Recruitment, Big chance for weak maths, 10 majors

SSC MTS Notification 2024: Staff Selection Commission on Thursday released the MTS and Havildar Recruitment 2024 notification. SSC MTS and Havildar (SSC MTS Vacancy 2024) Recruitment for 8326 Posts. 4887 posts for MTS and 3439 posts of Havildar are vacant. Online applications for this recruitment will be accepted at ssc.gov.in till 31st July. Last date for payment of fee is 01 August 2024. Application form can be revised on 16th August and 17th August 2024. During this time, the correction fee will also have to be paid. Computer based exam will be conducted in October November. The special thing is that in CBT mode the written exam will be conducted in one phase (in multiple shifts). Any candidate has to give the written test on the same day. Both sessions will be held on the same day. The exam will be conducted in two sessions of 45 minutes each. The medium of examination will be English, Hindi and 13 regional languages. MTS Recruitment provides recruitment for the posts of Patawala, Chowkidar, Jamadar, Gardener, Gatekeeper etc. in various departments of Central Government. Along with this, there will be recruitment for Havildar posts in Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and Central Narcotics Bureau (CBN).

1. There is a great opportunity for people with weak maths and logic to get government jobs.

SSC MTS Recruitment is a great opportunity for those candidates who are weak in Maths and Reasoning who dream to get a government job. Actually this exam will be conducted in two sessions. Both sessions will be held on the same day. The first session will be on Numerical and Mathematical Ability and Reasoning Ability and Problem Solving. 20-20 questions of 60-60 marks will be asked in both Reasoning and Maths. That means total 40 questions will come from Reasoning Maths. Session-1 only will qualify. General category candidates have to get only 30 percent marks in this i.e. they have to get only 12 out of 40 questions correct. OBC and EWS will have to solve only 10 questions and SC/ST will have to solve only 8 questions. There will be no negative marking in this session.

Session-2 will open immediately after the end of Session-1 of 45 minutes. This too will be of 45 minutes. General Awareness and English Language and Comprehension questions will be asked in this session. 25 questions will be asked from both General Awareness and English carrying 75 marks each. The final merit list for MTS post will be made based on the marks obtained in this session. That means merit will be made on the basis of 150 marks of session-2. Session-2 will have negative marking. One mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
The above computer based exam will be objective type, multiple choice questions (MCQ).

2. Qualifying Marks (Minimum Marks) in both sessions.
The candidate’s performance in Session-I will be checked first and the performance in Session-II will be evaluated only if the candidate passes Session-I.
The minimum qualifying marks in Session-I as well as Session-II of computer-based test are as follows:

3. Educational Qualification – For both MTS and Havildar posts – 10th pass.

4. Age Limit – 18-27 years.
MTS – 18-25 years. Havildar – 18-27 years. Candidates belonging to SC and ST category will be given five years relaxation in maximum age and OBCs will be given three years relaxation. Age will be calculated from 1st July 2024.

5. Age and educational qualification will be considered from 1st July, 2024.

6. Scale of pay
MTS Salary – Pay Level-1 as per 7th Pay Commission
Salary of Havildar – Pay Level-1 as per 7th Pay Commission

7. Application Fee – Rs. 100
No fee for women, SC and ST categories.

8. Selection Process for the Post of Havildar (Based on Previous Recruitment)
– Computer Based Written Exam, Physical Test, Physical Standard Test.
Male height for the post of Havildar – 157.5 cm.
– Height of woman- 152 cm. and weighing at least 48 kg.
– Male chest – 81 cm. 5 cm expansion apart.

Physical Efficiency Test Rules for Constables
Male – has to walk 1600 meters in 15 minutes.
Women – 1 km run in 20 minutes.

9. How will the final selection be made?
For MTS post, candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in Session II of CBE. For the post of Havildar, candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in PET/PST in the ratio of 1:7 (Vacancies: Candidates) and in Session II of CBE.

10. State wise cut-off marks
For MTS post, session II will have separate category wise, state/UT wise cut-off. Vacancies for MTS are in two age groups i.e. (i) 18 to 25 years and (ii) 18 to 27 years, Commission will declare separate age group wise, category wise and state/UT-wise cut off in CBE. .
