SSC MTS Vacancy 2024: Applications for Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havildar (Central Bureau of Indirect Taxes and Customs and Central Bureau of Narcotics) Exam 2024 will be taken by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) from today Thursday. Online applications for MTS 2024 will be taken till July 31 and preparations are underway to conduct the computer-based test in November or December. It may be noted that 26,09,777 contenders from across the country were in the fray for MTS 2023 1773 posts. Application for Stenographer Grade C & D Exam 2024 is expected to start next month from 26th July. Earlier applications for Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2024 have started from June 24.
MTS Recruitment provides recruitment for the posts of Patawala, Chowkidar, Jamadar, Gardener, Gatekeeper etc. in various departments of Central Government. Along with this, there will be recruitment for Havildar posts in Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and Central Narcotics Bureau (CBN).
Educational Qualification – For Both Posts – 10 Passes.
Salary scale
MTS Salary – Pay Level-1 as per 7th Pay Commission
Salary of Havildar – Pay Level-1 as per 7th Pay Commission
The vacancy is in two age groups – 18 years to 25 years and 18 years to 27 years. The cutoff for these posts will also be different. Candidates belonging to SC and ST category will be given five years relaxation in maximum age and OBCs will be given three years relaxation.

Selection Process for the Post of Havildar (Based on Previous Recruitment)
– Computer Based Written Exam, Physical Test, Physical Standard Test.
Male height for the post of Havildar – 157.5 cm.
– Height of woman- 152 cm. and weighing at least 48 kg.
– Male chest – 81 cm. 5 cm expansion apart.
Physical Efficiency Test Rules for Constables
Male – has to walk 1600 meters in 15 minutes.
Women – 1 km race in 20 minutes.
