On the first trading day of the week i.e. 29th April, trading in the Indian stock market started at a brisk pace. Sensex and Nifty opened on a strong note today. Sensex opened up 252.59 points or 0.34% at 73,982.75 and Nifty up 55.60 points or 0.25% at 22,475. Even after this, the stock market continues to go up and down.

In early trade, the Sensex rose 473 points to 74,204.30 and the Nifty gained 112 points to 22,532.50.
BSE’s 30-share flagship index Sensex closed down 609.28 points or 0.82 percent at 73,730.16 points in the last trading day. At the same time, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) also closed down 150.40 points, or 0.67 per cent, at 22,419.95 points.
According to stock market data, Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) were net sellers in the capital market on Friday with Rs. 3,408.38 crore worth of shares were sold.
