Stock Market Updates: The Indian stock market hit new highs as it opened today i.e. 18th June. Stock markets are seeing all-round buying due to strong global cues. As a result, the Sensex (BSE Sensex) surged over 200 points to a new record high of 77,327 in early trade. At the same time, the Nifty50 also crossed the 23,500 mark for the first time to hit an all-time high of 23,574.
At 9:43 am, the Sensex was trading up 280.77 points (0.36%) at 77,273.55 and the Nifty was trading up 86.05 points (0.37%) at 23,551.65.

Nifty Top Gainers
Top gainers in the Nifty include Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, M&M, Wipro and ONGC, while Maruti Suzuki, TCS, Divis Labs, Dr. Reddy’s Labs and HDFC Life were the top losers.
All the sectoral indices are trading in the green mark.
On a sectoral basis, most of the sectoral indices opened in the green. Apart from Nifty Pharma, Nifty Healthcare and Nifty Midsmall Healthcare, all other sectoral indices including IT, PSU, Auto, FMCG are trading bullish today.
Nifty’s midcap-smallcap index also rose
The Nifty Midcap 100 index rose 140 points or 0.25 per cent to 55,365 points and the Nifty Smallcap 100 index rose 127 points or 0.71 per cent to close at 18,171 points.
