After engineering, now a scheme has been launched to increase the participation of girls in the field of management and computer applications as well. A special scholarship scheme is being launched from the academic session 2024 to increase the number of girls in technical colleges. Scholarships will be given to meritorious students from economically weaker sections of BBA, BCA and BMS programmes. This scheme will cost around 7.5 crore rupees annually. That is why from the next academic session 2024-25, BBA, BCA and BMS students will get this new scholarship. In which more than 3000 meritorious female students from economically weaker section will be given Rs. 25 thousand will be given as scholarship. Additional seats and scholarships in engineering have led to a significant increase in the number of daughters. For this reason, emphasis will now be placed on increasing the participation of daughters in the field of management and computer applications.

So far scholarships are given under Pragati Yojana to increase the number of girls in the field of engineering. In which a scholarship of 50 thousand rupees is given annually.

Only students from recognized institutes will be benefited
For the first time, AICTE is giving permission to teach BBA, BCA and BMS programs from the next session. So far, all three programs have been approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). That is why female students of AICTE affiliated colleges will get the benefit of this scholarship.

Participation of daughters in engineering has increased
The number of daughters in the engineering field is continuously improving due to various schemes. In the year 2019, the number of daughters was 29 percent. This figure reached 30 percent in 2020 and 36 percent in 2021. In the last two years, the number of daughters has been increasing continuously. In the year 2022, it has reached 29 percent in engineering diploma and 40 percent in engineering UG engineering programs.
