Indian team’s star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja’s form has become a concern for the team. Jadeja has played all the matches in the T20 World Cup 2024 but has not been able to perform as expected. He batted in three innings of five matches and managed to score only 0,7 and 9 runs. Meanwhile, he has taken only one wicket due to which his place in the T20 team is being questioned. However, veteran Sunil Gavaskar has a different opinion. He supported Jadeja.

Sunil Gavaskar believes that the talk of Jadeja and his poor form is unnecessary and questions those who doubt Jadeja’s place in India’s playing XI.

“I don’t think we should think about asking questions,” Sunil Gavaskar told Star Sports. The problem for India and Indian fans is that after two bad games, the question is what to do about it? You know it’s a concern. Anyone who asks these questions is not thinking about his profession, he has made two mistakes or not and people are questioning his place in the profession, no matter what profession he is in. You cannot question Jadeja’s place in the playing XI. He’s a rock star.”

He continued, “I am not worried at all as he is very experienced. Whatever opportunities he has got, he has done well and not to forget that on the field he saves 20-30 runs while fielding. Then he comes on the field and whatever he does with bat and ball shows his ability.”
