Supreme Court refuses to stop NEET counselling, ban on all NEET cases pending in HC, notice to NTA, Center

The Supreme Court on Thursday heard fresh petitions filed in the NEET-UG 2024 dispute and stayed all cases in the HC. The bench has also issued notices to the Center and the National Testing Agency. A hearing was held today in the Supreme Court regarding the cancellation of the NEET UG 2024 examination. During this period, the court has also refused to ban counselling. Now the next hearing of this case will be on July 8. A bench of Justice Vikram Nath and Justice SVN Bhati sought a response from the government and NTA by July 8.

Let us tell you that during the hearing in the Supreme Court, the bench heard a total of 14 petitions. In which 49 students and 10 applications were filed by a student organization called Student Federation of India. Meanwhile, the remaining four were submitted by NTA.

One of the petitions filed by the students was for the formation of a court-appointed committee to look into the NEET exam controversy. However, the Supreme Court rejected this demand.
