The T20 World Cup 2024 group stage matches ended on June 17 and now the Super 8 matches are going to start from today i.e. June 19, Wednesday. The first match of Super 8 will be played between USA and South Africa. At the same time, Team India will face Afghanistan tomorrow i.e. Thursday 20 June. USA qualified for the Super 8 from Group A and South Africa from Group D. Currently, both teams are part of Group 2 of Super 8, which also includes teams from England and West Indies. The first match of the Super 8 will be played at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua.
As for the group stage, the USA qualified for the Super 8 with two matches and one forfeit, while South Africa won all their matches in Group D.
