In this important match, he took three wickets in three consecutive balls and gave Australia the lead in the match.
This is the seventh time in T20 World Cup history that a bowler has taken a hat-trick. Brett Lee holds the record for taking the first hat-trick in the T20 World Cup. Australia’s Brett Lee took a hat-trick against Bangladesh in 2007. It is an interesting coincidence that Pat Cummins took a hat-trick against Bangladesh.
Pat Cummins did not take a wicket in his first two overs against Bangladesh. He made up for it in the third and fourth overs. He clean bowled Mahmudullah on the fifth ball of his third over. After this, Cummins had Mehdi Hasan caught out by Adam Zampa on the next ball.
