Canada posted a huge total of 194 runs, but the USA achieved that in just 17.4 overs. The loss was nothing short of an upset for the Canadian team, which has been participating in the ICC tournament since the 1970s.

America also made another counterattack
America also created another upset in the T20 World Cup. This time he shattered the dreams of former champions Pakistan. This match between Pakistan and USA was initially tied with the score of 159-159. After this the super over was played. In the super over, America scored 18 runs in response to which the Pakistan team could only score 13 runs. With this win, the American team has overtaken India and reached the top of the points table in Group A.

Canada returned, defeated the Test playing team
The third upset of the T20 World Cup was Canada’s loss to the USA. Canada gave Ireland the same medicine it has been known to give to others. Canada scored 137 against Ireland on 7 June. In reply, the Irish team could score only 125 runs. Keep in mind that the Ireland team has beaten the likes of Pakistan and England in ODIs and T20 World Cups. It has Test playing squad status. In such a situation, a defeat from Ireland is not easy for their fans to digest.

New Zealand suffered a fourth upset
The New Zealand team became the victim of the fourth upset in the T-20 World Cup. Afghanistan defeated New Zealand by 84 runs in Group C match played on June 8. In this match, Afghanistan scored 159 runs for 6 wickets. In reply, the New Zealand team was all out for just 75 runs in 15.2 overs.

Sri Lanka suffered a fifth upset
Sri Lanka suffered their fifth upset in the T20 World Cup. Bangladesh defeated Sri Lanka by 2 wickets in the match played on June 8. Batting first, the Sri Lankan team scored 124 runs for 9 wickets. Bangladesh achieved the target by losing 8 wickets in 19 overs. Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are in Group D, also known as the Group of Death. South Africa, Netherlands and Nepal are also included in this group.
