New Delhi. Indian team captain Rohit Sharma has given a jaw-dropping response to Inzamam-ul-Haq’s allegations. After India’s win against Australia in the T20 World Cup match, Pakistan’s Inzamam-ul-Haq made serious allegations against the Indian bowlers. Inzamam said that the Indian team has done serious work on the ball to get the reverse swing. The former Pakistan captain was accusing India of ball tampering in the gesture.
India beat Australia by 24 runs on Monday and qualified for the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup. Left arm fast bowler Arshdeep Singh took three wickets in this match. Inzamam ul Haq accused Arshdeep Singh and the Indian team of ball tampering on a Pakistani TV channel.
Inzamam-ul-Haq said, ‘When Arshdeep was bowling the 15th over, the ball was reverse-swinging. The new ball does not reverse swing as quickly. It means that the ball was prepared for this till 12th-13th over. The ball was ready for reverse swing. Umpires have to keep their eyes open.
A day before the India-England semi-final, Rohit Sharma held a press conference. Meanwhile, when Rohit was asked about Inzamam’s allegations, he advised the former Pakistan captain to keep an open mind. Rohit said, ‘The wicket here (West Indies) is very dry. All teams are getting reverse swing. You need to keep an open mind. This is not Australia.
