India vs England: India, England, South Africa and Afghanistan have made it to the semi-finals of the ongoing T20 World Cup. New Zealand’s Chris Gaffney and Australia’s Rodney Tucker will be the on-field umpires for the second T20 World Cup semi-final between India and England in Providence, Guyana on Thursday. Joel Wilson will be the TV umpire for this match while Paul Raphael will be the fourth umpire. Geoffrey Crowe of New Zealand will play the role of match referee. England’s Richard Illingworth and India’s Nitin Menon will be the on-field umpires for the first semi-final between South Africa and Afghanistan in Tarouba, Trinidad and Tobago. Richie Richardson of West Indies has been appointed as the match referee for this match.
How did one qualify?
England were the first team to reach the semi-finals of the ICC T20 World Cup. England beat America by 10 wickets to make it to the semi-finals. South Africa then advanced to the semi-finals by defeating the West Indies by DLS in their third match of the Super-8s, South Africa winning all three of their group stage matches. While India defeated Australia in the last match of the Super-8 and made it to the knockout stage. Along with this, Afghanistan defeated Bangladesh in a thrilling encounter and not only entered the semi-finals but also eliminated America and Bangladesh.

A major tension for Team India came to an end as the ICC announced the names of umpires for the T20 World Cup 2024 semi-finals. Since 2013, the Indian team has not managed to win any ICC tournament. Team India has made it to the knockout stages and finals several times during this period. But he did not succeed.
