New Zealand’s Chris Gaffney and Australia’s Rodney Tucker will be the on-field umpires for the second T20 World Cup semi-final between India and England in Providence, Guyana on Thursday. Joel Wilson will be the TV umpire for this match while Paul Raphael will be the fourth umpire. Geoffrey Crowe of New Zealand will play the role of match referee. England’s Richard Illingworth and India’s Nitin Menon will be the on-field umpires for the first semi-final between South Africa and Afghanistan in Tarouba, Trinidad and Tobago. Richie Richardson of West Indies has been appointed as the match referee for this match.

How did one qualify?

England were the first team to reach the semi-finals of the ICC T20 World Cup. England beat America by 10 wickets to make it to the semi-finals. South Africa then advanced to the semi-finals by defeating the West Indies by DLS in their third match of the Super-8s, South Africa winning all three of their group stage matches.
