The troubles of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a Tata Group company, may increase. In fact, the Nascent Information Technology Employees Senate (NITES) has filed a complaint against TCS with the Ministry of Labor and Employment. The complaint alleges that TCS is unfairly forcing over 2000 of its employees to transfer to different cities. NITES has requested the Ministry of Labor to investigate possible labor code violations. With this action has been requested against TCS.

Appeal to make new rules: According to LiveMint news, Harpreet Singh of NITES said that we also request the ministry to frame new policies and regulations on unethical transfer of IT personnel. According to the November 15 complaint, these forced transfers are causing immense hardship to both the workers and their families. NITES said it has received more than 180 complaints from employees.

A TCS official told Mint that the transfer was routine. However, there is no official response from the company. NITES also highlighted the lack of clarity in TCS’ communication regarding the transfer. He had earlier accused TCS of delaying new appointments and demanded compensation for those affected.
