Team India head coach: “Two names shortlisted…” Jay Shah makes big revelation amid news of Gautam Gambhir becoming head coach.

Team India Head Coach: Rahul Dravid’s tenure has come to an end with the T20 World Cup.

BCCI secretary Jay Shah said on Monday that the Indian cricket team will have a new head coach ahead of the limited-overs series starting in Sri Lanka later this month, but did not specify who would make the final choice to replace outgoing Rahul Dravid. It is expected that former opener Gautam Gambhir will replace Dravid as India’s head coach. The Cricket Advisory Committee has also conducted interviews for this high-profile job and shortlisted Gambhir and former India women’s coach WV Raman. The Indian cricket team is currently on a tour of the Caribbean, where they won the T20 World Cup title for the second time after defeating South Africa by seven runs in the T20 World Cup title match. Meanwhile, Jai Shah also said that a selector will also be appointed soon.

According to news agency PTI, speaking to select media persons, Jay Shah said, referring to the Zimbabwe tour starting July 6, “Both the coach and the selectors will be appointed soon. The CAC has conducted interviews and two names have been decided. “The shortlist has been done and whatever decision he takes after reaching Mumbai, we will go accordingly, VVS Laxman is going to Zimbabwe, but the new coach will join the Sri Lanka series. The Indian team is scheduled to tour Sri Lanka from July 27 for three T20Is and as many ODIs.
