Team India leaves: Indian team leaves after long wait, Shubman Gill joins USA

New Delhi. The Indian cricket team under the leadership of Rohit Sharma is preparing to return home from West Indies. On the other hand, the young team India has left for Zimbabwe under the leadership of interim coach VVS Laxman. The India-Zimbabwe T20 series will be played from July 6 under the captaincy of Shubman Gill. There is no regular coach with the Indian team. National Cricket Academy (NCA) chief VVS Laxman will take over as coach in this series.

Most of India’s key players have been rested in the series against Zimbabwe. Only 3 members of the T20 World Cup squad will be seen on the Zimbabwe tour. Including Sanju Samson, Yashaswi Jaiswal, Shivam Dubey.

Shubman Gill will lead this team. Shubman will reach Zimbabwe from America. Ryan Parag and Abhishek Sharma have been included in the Indian squad for the first time after their performances in IPL 2024.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) posted pictures of the people on the plane on ‘X’. Including Abhishek Sharma, Ryan Parag, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Avesh Khan, Ravi Bishnoi, Washington Sundar, Tusshar Deshpande and NCA Chief Laxman.

Five members of the team, Shivam Dubey, Sanju Samson, Yashaswi Jaiswal, Rinku Singh and Khalil Ahmed, were either part of the T20 World Cup winning team or were with the team as reserve players. India’s world champion team is stranded in Barbados due to Hurricane Beryl.
